OEC-T5 EL50448 Auto Tire Pressure Sensor TPMS Reset Tool For GM/Opel series vehicle
Description of EL50448 tire pressure sensor:
For GM vehicles equipped with a 315 or 433 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a "Sensor Relearn Procedure" must be performed after tire rotation, replacement of the Door Lock Receiver Module remote control or tire pressure sensor replacement. This re-learning procedure can be performed using a special tool EL-50448.Also works on 2014 GM models
The tire pressure sensor on in & after 2012 models can be read, only with certain specified diagnostic tools.
Before the tire pressure monitoring system normally works properly, the body control module records the identification information of each position in the tire pressure sensor; and use the following methods to read the tire pressure sensor after replacing a tire or wheel speed sensor.
Please refer to the specific methods as follows:
- Step 1 - Enter inclined mode
- Shift the gear lever to “P”
- Turn the ignition switch to “ON”
- Enter the tire pressure display interface by DIC
- DIC displays “press Set/Ctrl to relearn”
- Press “Set/Ctrl”
- The turn signal is on for 3 seconds and the horn beeps twice to enter learning mode
- Shift the gear lever to “P”
- Step 2 - Read Tire Pressure Sensor Information
- From the left front wheel,
- Mount the J-46079 or EL-50448 antenna of the Diagnostic Tool against the position of the valve core and close to the edge of the tire sidewall
- El-50448 tire pressure tool starts by start switch
- Successfully read tire pressure sensor information when horn bleeds once
- From the left front wheel,
- Step 3 - same method to read other tire pressure information
- Follow the instructions above to read the tire thrust of the front-right, rear-right, rear-left wheels.
- The turn signals are on for 3 seconds and the horn flashes twice when learning is complete.
- Follow the instructions above to read the tire thrust of the front-right, rear-right, rear-left wheels.
For some vehicles equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) system, a "sensor relearn procedure" must be performed after tire rotation, replacement of the Remote Door Lock Receiver Module or sensor replacement tire pressure. This relearn procedure can be carried out using a special tool 50448

Questions & Answers
- QUESTION : What vehicles will you operate on at EL-50448? Have a Chevy Colorado
- Answer :
- From what I have read this will work on 2012 and 2013 GM cars and trucks. It may also work on other makes and models. I did several internet searches before purchasing this unit, and found that this model is often mentioned specifically for 2012 and 2013 GM vehicles. You should find specific information for your Colorado quite easily. Also, I read that there is a reset procedure for 2012 and earlier GM vehicles that does not require a reset tool, so you may not need this device at all. 🙂

- QUESTION : On which GM automobiles will EL-50448 TPMS work?
- Answer :
- jI don't know all the automobiles it will work on, but I know for sure that it works on late model GM pickup trucks - 2007 on. That's what I use mine for. Very easy to use. Good quality product.
- Answer :
- QUESTION : will it work on a 2006 ford expedition xlt, thanks

Works on Truck and Car: Simple and inexpensive but works great. Much better than going to the dealer or tire store just to have your pressure sensors reset. I used it on my truck and my wife's car and it only took a few minutes to reset all four wheels on each.
-
With a correct low battery display: I was never able to get my TP sensors programmed using the "let the air out" method on my 2007 Tahoe. Before I had this tool I would just figure out which tires were which when I shot them, but not anymore. Now I can reprogram them in just a few seconds and the dash display correctly shows which tire is low. This tool should have been delivered with the vehicle.
-
Easy to use: The operation of this product is simple and simple. As noted, it's hard to look forward to spending that amount just to rotate the tires, but given dealer fees, it wouldn't take many service visits to pay for the unit. As far as operation goes, it does exactly what it says, it won't cause any drama. Put the vehicle in reset mode and press the button on the device following the instructions in the car owner's manual.
-
I didn't think I needed a special tool to rotate my tires. From what I understand, 2010 (2011?) and older vehicles you can use any large magnet to reset your tire pressure sensors. 2011 (2012?) and up to at least my 2013 Silverado, you need one of these things. This one works like a champ, and it's one I found listed on a GM site.
-
Wide GM vehicle coverage: Deflation method is verified ok only on Chevrolet Volt year 2011, with El-50448 TPMS Relearn Tool, I was able to get all 4 TPMS programmed in less than a minute. El-50448 could program TPMS on GM year 2010-2013.

After my high school studies, I decided to specialize in the automotive field. So I went to study automotive engineering in Grenoble where I obtained a master's degree in mechanical engineering for passenger vehicles.
Passionate about OBD (On-Board Diagnostic) technology, which allows drivers to diagnose their car themselves using the elaborate system embedded in their vehicles connected via Bluetooth/Wi-Fi or USB with a compatible personal computer such as Windows PC/ Linux/MacOsX such as ELM327 WiFi), I started my professional career as a technical writer after having completed several practical internships with different Lyon automobile garages in order to deepen my technical knowledge for this sector and acquire sufficient practical experience necessary that could be useful when products software achievements.
Over the years, I had developed some additional passions in particular: travel, computing (IOT & IP Networks) and Jazz music. It is thus that thanks to these additional skills enriched during all his extra-professional adventures that he was able to establish a bridge between his professional and private life offering him more equally interesting and diversified professional opportunities
I like working on complex projects linked to this fairly cutting-edge technology (preventive maintenance, advanced engine error diagnostics) because it allows me to take on stimulating technical challenges which constantly improve my skills and my expertise in this sector.
As a technical editor for Bosch France, I often had the opportunity to participate in seminars organized by their partners, suppliers or internal distributors. Thus during a professional trip to China to attend a conference on new trends in the Chinese automotive market ( 2020)
